So the story of how I met Meg is pretty 21st Century… but I’m so grateful for the connections that are available to us in today’s day-in-age!!
Long story short, Meg and I connected over Instagram just shortly before COVID-19 shut down everything as we know it to be right now. We messaged back and forth for a couple days, and realized we had a lot in common! To name a few similarities… both of us grew up in military families, had lived in Germany for a number of years, married back into the military, share religious similarities (a.k.a love being Catholic), our husbands are both currently stationed in Albuquerque and we arrived to NM only 2.5 months apart from each other, and finally we both spent a portion of 2020 pregnant! It was obvious that we had to meet, and made plans to do so… and then quarantine set in and plans changed for a while.
Thankfully, once restrictions were lifted, we scheduled to get together for this session!
Oftentimes, the people you meet within the military community feel like long lost friends… even if you’re just meeting for the first time! That’s how I felt with Avery and Megan for the short time we were able to be together in the Sandia Foothills!
I can’t wait to eventually meet their baby GIRL, who is due later this month! ..And eventually have them over our house for a little BBQ, once life (and this year) settles down a bit.
Meg & Avery: you guys are a beautiful couple, I’m kind of obsessed with these pictures, and I’m so thankful to have FINALLY met you both, and hope to see you guys again soon!!
