Columbus, Ohio

It's been a good while since I've photographed an engagement session out of New Mexico, so this felt really good!! Joanna and Aidan drove about 90 minutes to meet me in the beautiful 'German Village' section of Columbus for their session, and I would say that based off of these photos and the rest of the gallery, it was worth it!!
We had the best weather, ideal lighting, and a quaint cityscape background that gives them quite a variety of images. There was also so much in bloom, and not too many people out and about, so everything worked out pretty great logistically!
It’s also always a game-changer when I’m photographing a couple that is genuinely kind and really easy to talk to, that it feels like you’ve known them for a lot longer than you actually have! …That was exactly how this evening felt with Joanna and Aidan. We walked the entire section of the city, doubled back at one point to catch the evening light at the bridge, and did it all engrossed in conversation about basically everything. It was awesome!!
I also need to address how impressed I was that they did so well, because just 24 hours before this session, they had run a half-marathon and were pretty sore from the race. So the fact that they braved at least another mile or two of walking, and Joanna wearing heels for it(!), was seriously award winning in my book!
I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with them in just a little over a month’s time!! I hope you enjoy these highlights from our evening in Columbus!

Thanks for reading!!
