Los Lunas, New Mexico

This entire wedding day from start to finish was absolutely beautiful. As if Jess and Dan's colors for their wedding didn't already scream "fall", they were blessed with some idyllic fall weather here in New Mexico. I have several favorite parts of this day which I'm going to detail below, but to start, I have to say how much Austin and I enjoyed meeting Jess and Dan's family. We felt instantly welcomed and everyone was kind and genuinely happy to be together. We are so thankful we could spend this special day with them!!!
Although Jess’ family is originally from Bosque Farms, NM, Dan and his family are all from Minnesota and their trip down for the wedding was everyone (minus Dan’s!) first time in New Mexico! It was fun to discover that this particular weekend was actually chillier here in New Mexico, than it was back in Minnesota. But sure enough, it was a crisp, cool morning to start off the day, which then gave way to the perfect temperature for outdoor photos with a gentle breeze that made those cathedral veil shots below pretty darn epic!
Jess and Dan were married at San Clemente Roman Catholic Church in Los Lunas in a traditional marriage ceremony, and they had a special guest Deacon who celebrated their marriage vows with them: Jess’ Godfather. How incredibly special!!! To top it off, they chose The Beatitudes to be read for their Gospel reading, Matthew 5: 1-12. I also loved how they chose to bring a bouquet to the Holy Family during the ceremony, and shared a prayer together.
After church portraits, we made our way to one of my new favorite streets in Los Lunas, New Mexico for more portraits. I think this location was perfect in so many ways, and really tied their love for the outdoors, NM, and their love and life in Minnesota together perfectly. I can’t wait for you to see these below!!!
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that you can tell this is a special couple, and that they share a very deep love for one another. They were so easy to photograph and this day was definitely a highlight to 2021 for me!! Jess and Dan, thank you both so much for trusting us to capture your wedding day, may God bless you both in your marriage!!

Oh my goodness, Jess’ dress was STUNNING.

This is always one of my favorite parts of the ceremony!
Dan and Jess brought their bouquet to the Holy Family and said a prayer together!

Cathedral length veils are 1000% the way to go to get these magical shots!!
