Germany Sweetheart Session
I kicked off 2019 with the sweetest couple, who just so happens to also be my NEIGHBOR. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last 10 months, the first being back in October when I photographed Alannah and Eric’s session. That being said, I want to elaborate on a few things – one being first and foremost, that personal recommendation of my work is without a doubt, such a compliment. I am so humbled and thankful for those of you who promote my business that way! So, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Second, the village that we all live in is separated into two smaller towns. I live in the lower section of the town, and Laura and Morton live in the upper section. So, I wish we all met four years ago, and not coincidentally the year we all are moving back to the U.S., but that’s just the luck of the military sometimes!
Anyways, photographing half of Laura and Morton’s session in my own village is also my own personal dream come true. I absolutely LOVE where we live. It’s one of the most peaceful and remote villages in the area that I feel so blessed to have found it four years ago. In planning the session with Laura, I was thrilled when she jumped on board of my idea to stay in town and then move up to a local hillside that would capture the countryside surrounding the town as the sun sets. It was the most perfect evening for this session, even though temperatures here in Germany haven’t been as warm as I think all of us hope to experience in late April/early May!
I can’t forget to mention their sweet Bernese Mountain dog, Magkoli. To be honest, she reminded me of my dog growing up and that’s always a sweet reminder. I had so much fun with these two and so thankful they chose me as their photographer before they leave Germany and undertake their next adventure waiting for them in Hawaii coming up later this year! I hope you enjoy my favorite images from their session below!
