Ben & Rachel | A Quaint Elegant Wedding at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church | Victor, NY

Rachel and Ben originally met while attending Hillsdale College in Michigan.  While Rachel is originally from Victor, NY, Ben is from Saint Louis, MO, and they both live and work in Virginia, after a stint of long distance dating.  Their shared Catholic faith created the foundation for their relationship, and their love for it was evident in their planning for their wedding day of October 26, 2024. 

Their wedding date began at the cutest AirBnB in Victor, where I met the girls and photographed Rachel’s details and her bridal prep. Rachel’s bouquet might be my favorite bouquet I have ever photographed. It was absolutely stunning.  

Her prep time featured very sweet moments with both her mom and dad. I had to include those photos in this post, they’re some of my favorites!  Their Nuptial Mass was gorgeous, and was celebrated at Rachel’s hometown parish of Saint Patrick in downtown Victor. 

After mass, we headed across the street to the Victor fire department for some great shots with Rachel’s dad, who happens to be the Fire Chief, and some of the fire trucks! It was really great.  The sun came out and gave them such beautiful lighting for photos for these pictures and also for their final bridal party portraits, which we took back in the backyard of the AirBnB. The trees and the light together created a beautiful, naturally staged backdrop for me! 

Their reception was back in town and the dance floor was really something else! Everyone had a wonderful time and there was even a sparkler exit at the end, in which the bride and groom got to run through several times.. those sparklers were the extra long ones!! 

Rachel and Ben, I am so grateful for you both.  Thank you for inviting me to capture this special day for you. You and your families were a joy to be around and I will forever cherish my weekend in upstate NY with you!!
